Our Vision
We exist to call out, inspire, strengthen and connect those called to a fusion of scholarly and pastoral service for the Kingdom of God. We are convinced that the health of the church depends in no small part on such men and women pressing in to their vocation and becoming all that God calls them to be. Yet this call is rare, often misunderstood or devalued, and regularly pursued in relative loneliness.

Therefore, KSN aims to create a network of kingdom scholars with the following goals:

POSTURE

To value what is often devalued, by naming, legitimising and honouring the call to simultaneous engagement in the church and the academy. We hope that in doing so we might help the church to recognise the importance of this vocation and release people into it.

COMMUNITY

To provide environments that are genuinely refreshing and facilitate the renewal of this calling for those who carry it. In doing so we aim to create a community within which we support one another in our labours and exhort one another to fulfil our vocation.

TASK

To see the formation and flourishing of Christians called to this holistic vision of service for the sake of the Kingdom of God – the main outcome that we seek is a certain kind of person! A secondary goal is that the KSN will facilitate common labour, where we turn our minds together to serve the contemporary needs of the church.
